Rev. Matthew Harris-Gloyer
Co-Pastor
Matthew is our Co-Pastor and serves middle and high school youth ministries, young adults and serving ministries. Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts in History & Religious Studies from Allegheny College, Meadville, PA. His Master of Divinity studies began with two years at Christian Theological Seminary, Indianapolis, IN, including one semester on exchange at the United Theological College of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. He then transferred to, and completed his degree at Pacific School of Religion, Berkeley, CA. Matt was ordained in 2012 via Community Christian Church, Kansas City, MO. Before joining SFCC in 2021, Matt was solo Pastor of First Christian Church, Riverside, CA. Some of his hobbies are hiking, meditation, changing diapers, singing in the car, and discovering local cuisine. Favorite theological writers include Soren Kierkegaard, Cornel West, Rita Nakashima Brock, Thomas Merton, Christina Cleveland, Gustavo Gutierrez, Leonardo Boff, Josiah Royce, and Abraham Joshua Heschel.
